What does the guarantee cover?
The guarantee from Pasfoto Rotterdam Zuid means you receive a new photo free of charge if we approved your photo for a passport, ID card or driving licence and it is still rejected by the municipality or the RDW. We check every photo against all official requirements in the studio, so rejection by the authority itself is rare.
What the guarantee covers per document
The guarantee applies to the documents we handle every day. Each document type has slightly different requirements, and a different authority reviews the photo.
Passport
For a passport photo we check the requirements the municipality applies on behalf of the national government: size, background, expression and lighting. If the photo is rejected by the municipality, you get a new one from us free of charge.
ID card
An ID card photo must meet the same requirements as a passport photo. Here too: if the municipality rejects it, you receive a new photo free of charge.
Driving licence
A driving licence photo is checked against RDW requirements and, for a digital application, delivered directly online. If the RDW or the municipality rejects the photo, we make a new one at no extra cost.
Visa
For a visa photo we check your photo against the requirements known to us of the embassy or consulate of your destination country. Because the final decision lies with that embassy and requirements differ per country, this does not carry the same guarantee as for a passport, ID card or driving licence - we do check your photo as carefully as possible in advance.
Our promise
We guarantee approval by the municipality for passport, driving licence and ID card applications. If a photo we approved is nevertheless rejected, you receive a new photo from us free of charge.
Which authority checks which document
Each document is ultimately assessed by a different authority. We check your photo in advance against the requirements of that authority.
